This third volume of his History of the Twentieth Century addresses the Cold War between 4/5. Historian John Lukacs's "A Short History of the Twentieth Century" focuses on the period betweenthe start of World War I, andthe end of the Cold War.

Much of this concise book deals with the rise and fall of Hitler, the Soviet Union under Stalin, Britain under Churchill and the United States under (Franklin) Roosevelt/5.
